The Assistant Minister for Defence is currently The Honourable Darren Chester MP.
The Minister for Veterans' Affairs and the Minister Assisting the Prime Minister for the Centenary of ANZAC is Stuart Robert MP.
The minister administers the portfolio through the Australian Defence Organisation, which comprises the Department of Defence, the Australian Defence Force, the Australian Defence Force Academy, and a range of other agencies.
